Beer Release: NW: Coming Soon (Again) ... Elysian Bete Blanche Belgian-style Tripel

image sourced from Elysian Brewery's newsletter Fast approaching mid-January we thought we would remind you of another release from the folks that give us so much Immortal India Pale Ale.

Coming this February Elysian is re-releasing their unique take on the classic Belgian-style Tripel.

Magic mirrors don't lie, and ours tells us that Bete Blanche Belgian-style Tripel is back, in six-packs and 22 oz. bottles and on draft. Enjoy the gift of its golden glow, offered by our blue-eyed and flaxen-haired witch to all our fair friends. Its crisp fruitiness and warmth carries winter on toward spring, beginning February ---. Bete Blanche may sound like a challenge, but it is smooth and extremely drinkable, conceived and brewed in the tradition of the great blonde ales of Belgium.

Bete Blanche still manages to be somewhat treacherous, though not in the same way as some fairy-tale apples we could name. Brewed with 100% Northwest pale malt, with sugar added to the boil, bittered with German Northern Brewer and finished with Slovenian Styrian Goldings hops, it is fermented with Belgian ale yeast to an alcohol content of 7.4% by volume. Share it with your friends in the village, down the road and at the next cottage.

image This February, look for 6-packs, 22 ounce bottles, and pints of Bete Blanche Belgian-style Tripel wherever you find Immortal India Pale Ale or Savant IPA. As always if you don't see if on draft or on the shelves ask your server or grocer to get some!

About Elysian Brewing Company

The Elysian was founded in 1995 by principals Dick Cantwell (President/Head Brewer), Joe Bisacca (CFO/Head of Operations) and David Buhler (Sales & Marketing Director). Our first Seattle location, a 220-seat beer hall and our main brewery, opened in 1996 on Capitol Hill, Seattle’s most populous neighborhood. In 1997 Elysian was chosen to operate a pub and small brewery at Gameworks—a large entertainment complex owned by Universal Studios, Dreamworks & Sega. Elysian left this partnership in 2002 upon expiration of the five-year contract. A short year later Elysian opened TangleTown, an 80-seat neighborhood brewery/bistro. With a 3-bbl pilot brewery, Elysian-TangleTown acted as the brewers' test kitchen, fueling the creative fires and helping cement Elysian's reputation as Seattle’s top brewpub. The most recent addition to the Elysian empire, Elysian Fields, opened in August 2006. Perched next to Seattle’s two sports arenas, Fields seats 400 and packs the house at lunch and on gamedays. It is typical for us to offer over twenty different Elysian beers between the three locations.
