Pairing Preview: CO: 10/10 Firestone Walker pairs with Chef Rosenberg for “The Lion, The Bear, & The Brewmaster”

I guess you can file this event under the category “if you happen to be in Denver during the Great American Beer Festival”.

But what the heck are we talking about? The answer is pretty simple. Firestone Walker is hosting a pre-GABF dinner at Denver’s Mile High Station.

Dubbed the “The Lion, The Bear & The Brewmaster”, Firestone Walker is pairing up with Chef Hosea Rosenberg to pair small plates with four years of FW Anniversary Ales. This event which is sure to sell out will feature a vertical of Firestone Walker XII, XIII, XIV, and XV.

So what's with the title anyway? Another good question. To the uninitiated Firestone Walker get its namesake from the two founders Adam Firestone (aka, the bear) and David Walker (aka, the lion). And the brewmaster? Well that’s Matt Brynildson.

During this one night only event the above mentioned members of the Firestone Walker family will answer questions while The Brewing Network’s Justin Crossley moderates.

“I have no idea what these guys will say; I hope they behave themselves,” said Jamie Smith, the brewery’s marketing guru. “Adam, David and Matt will introduce each anniversary beer and go from there. There’s no script. And if there are any skeletons in the closet, they’ll probably come out.”

The festivities will conclude with an exclusive unveiling of Firestone Walker’s newest anniversary bottling: XVI.
