Stop in this Thursday as Gary hosts two of Hale’s Ales’ India Pale Ales, in cask, and on the bar top.
Look for Mongoose and SuperGoose to be featured at this unique event, usually reserved for beer festivals, and with a lot more beer.
Right from it's introduction in the summer of 2002, Hale's Mongoose IPA has been enthusiastically received by hop-head fans throughout the Northwest. Nearly 50 pounds of hops are used in making this flavorful beer, including an abundance of Amarillo leaf hops. The end result is an IPA with a wonderful aromatic hop bouquet, a pleasant hop bitterness with citrus overtones and a deliciously round and lingering aftertaste.
Ingredients:Pale malted barley, Crystal malts, Centennial and Nugget hops, Hale's special yeast and filtered water.
Original Gravity 10.60
… takes the Mongoose idea a bit further -- more hops, more malt, higher extract. It features three of the leading edge, newest Yakima hop varieties: Amarillo (lots of these), Centennial and Simcoe. Backed by it's huge malt structure, the resulting combination of flavors sets a benchmark for big craft-brewed India Pale Ales. Original Gravity: 1.071 IBUs: 72
