Officially it’s Earth Day, today. Let those other alternative-minded folks tell you that 4/20 is Earth Day, but it’s actually 4/22.

So what’s this got to do with the headline? The answer is pretty simply, growlers. The Red Hot recently posted on their blog that they have reusable growlers for those who want to limit the amount of recyclables in their bins.

Glass. It’s a reusable AND recyclable product, and as long as you don’t break it, it will last you a lifetime. Draft beer which fills your growler is ALSO a greener choice as it comes from a keg…yet another reusable and recyclable product. Quite simply, beer is saving our planet. –source, The Red Hot

So why not pick up a growler from the Red Hot while enjoying a ‘dog’ and a beer, this Sunday.

Plus for those wanting to save some cash, you can wait till Monday for 1/2 price growler day. On average you will pay around $10 for a 1/2 gallon fill. Some might be more while some less.

Cheers
