Portland, OR – Catching up on the latest goings’ on in Portland this week we received word regarding an familiar to those from Seattle Beer Week.
Combining two of Portland's favorite things Beers and Burgers Portland Beer Week is proud to team-up with The Hop & Vine to present the Brewers Burger Brawl. Inspired by a similar event at Seattle Beer Week the Brewers Burger Brawl pits 5 of Portland's best brewers in a head-to-head smackdown of who can combine their own burger recipe best with a beer of their choice from their respective brewery.
Participating in this little experiment are some of the well known's including Ben Love (Hopworks Urban Brewery … we’ll miss ya), Alex Ganum (Upright), Jason Mcadam (Burnside, duck fat maybe?), as well as Ben Edmunds (Breakside) and Laurelwood’s newly appointed head brewer Vasilios Gletsos.
Judging this gastro-intestinal, tour de food; will be Jacob Leonard (formerly of Walking Man and now brewer at Widmer Brothers), Jessica Pierce (Sommelier/ Manager Ned Ludd), Chef Sam Reed (Cassidy’s), and Brian Yeager writer (Red, White, and Brew & All About Beer)
