Whether you’re a home brewer or lover of Zymurgy, you probably heard about this event. If not, now would be good time to head to Pike Brewing this July 10th.

Home Brewers and Wannabee Home Brewers, mark your calendar and make your reservation! Charlie Papazian, the home brew guru, is conducting an AHA Rally at Pike.

About Charlie Papazian

cpFor those of you who don't know about Charlie, he wrote the book, The Complete Joy of Homebrewing, with 25 re-printings, in 3 editions.  At nearly a million copies, it is the largest selling homebrewing book in history.  In 1978, the year that President Carter signed a law making homebrewing legal for the first time since before prohibition,  Charlie, an engineer, founded the American Homebrewers Association, the largest homebrewing organization in the world. How do you top that?  The following year he founded what is now known as the Brewers Association, the trade group to which Pike, and every other American craft brewery belongs.  Each year the BA holds a craft brewers conference and trade show. He has been the president for more than 30 years. Charlie is responsible for The Great American Beer Festival, The World Beer Cup,  Zymurgy Magazine, The New Brewer Magazine, and Brewer's Publications, their publishing arm. In his spare time, Charlie has published an additional five books about homebrewing.
