Festival Preview: Eugene Beer Week is 5/2/2011 – 5/8/2011

image courtesy Portlandbeer.org's Flickr page Eugene, OR – Hard to believe this ‘Beer Week’-inspired event completely slipped past us, but here we are reporting about it on the eleventh hour.

Located a hour and a half south of Beervana (aka, Portland), Eugene has enjoyed a relatively obscure brewing scene. With recognized breweries like Hop Valley, Ninkasi, Oakshire, Steelhead, and of course Eugene City (a Rogue property), there is no shortage of great beer coming out of this college town.

So it makes us happy to see the city celebrating the many breweries with Eugene Beer Week.

But given the last minute discovery of this week filled with beer we have elected to allow you to choose what events to check out by including them in our Festival in Focus. But this would not be a preview without a few mentions on where you might find us, during this week’s events.
