Seattle, WA – Short sweet and to the point, People’s Pub in the Ballard neighborhood, will soon be celebrating their 10th year of providing smile, hangovers and great cheer for the neighbors and visitors of the Ballard neighborhood.
To the uninformed, The People’s Pub is a German-themed restaurant and bar, owned and operated by Drew Kondik and Jon Norris. Besides being a German-themed bar, this is also a default Virginia Tech bar for all those “Hokies” who are willing to brave the taunting of Huskies in the city.
Tomorrow, you are welcome to swing in and congratulate them on their 10th year of business. To further assist you with whether you should or shouldn’t Ninkasi will be there as well. Featured at this event will not only be their seasonal Sleighr (assumed), but also a limited edition draft release of Imperial Stout, UnconventionAle (w/ lavender, tarragon & heather). Course since this is a party, there will be drink specials all day along with prizes (starting at 6PM).
The Peoples Pub (Die Volkskneipe) was founded by Drew Kondik and Jon Norris. Drew is a graduate of the University of Washington where he rowed crew, studied Geography & Medicine and tended a local bar. He is still very proud to have been named best dressed bartender for two years in a row. Jon is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the University of Washington. He uses his Masters in Library Sciences at a little Redmond software company named Microsoft. [more]
