image Seattle, WA - So far September seems like more work than play in realm of craft beer enjoyment. Already we have had a Cider Festival, Oktoberfest (Silver City Brewing), and it's only Monday! In the coming days, Deschutes will be rolling into town with their mascot Woody (a portable bar on four wheels), this iconic oversized barrel, will be visiting various places throughout Seattle, as a way to further promote awareness of Deschutes and their desire to create, excellent, ales and lagers.

Come see our giant traveling beer barrel, Woody, the good-times-on-wheels mobile bar. He will be rolling his way all around the Seattle area during base camp week, complete with multiple delicious Deschutes Brewery beers, a stereo, and a disco ball. He is a natural gathering spot at any event for all thirsty individuals (and any misplaced members of your party). -source, Deschutes Brewing

Named Base Camp, this Deschutes Sponsored, week-of-awareness; will feature everything from tastings (Malt & Vine, Whole Foods, Pete's Wine Shop, etc.) to Brewers Nights (Fiddler's, Wedgewood, Pub at Piper's, etc.) to even some recreational inspired events like Cyclocross.

"Base Camp Week is a grateful nod for your support of Deschutes’ high risk-high reward brews, from Mirror Pond’s Pale Ale Base Camp to the radical fringes of the craft.    Bravely done, oh pioneers." -source, Deschutes Brewing

Obviously Woody won't be everywhere, so you will have to check the schedule below to see where and when Woody will make an appearance.

About Deschutes Brewing

Located in beautiful Bend, Oregon, Deschutes Brewery is in the business of daring people to expect more from their beer. That's why we started off in 1988, on the banks of the Deschutes River here in Bend, Oregon, by selling Black Butte Porter at a time when others were sure a dark beer would never catch on. Our brewers love to push the envelope, especially if it makes someone nervous.  But for us, the highest praise is a raised glass and a toast of "Bravely Done!"  For more information about Deschutes Brewery and its courageously crafted beers, please visit
