image courtesy of Full Sail Brewing Hood River, OR – It’s nearly the end of August and with it a time to wave ciao to Summer and hello to Fall. With Fall our brain’s start to ponder beers that are brown, burgundy, dark copper, or black. Beer’s that usually with the word ‘fest somewhere in the name. But if you are a someone that lives around Mt. Hood, it isn’t festival beers you are craving but something a bit darker.

Full Sail is happy to announce another in the long line of Brewer’s Share beers with Adam’s Malty Bomb. Brewed in the porter style, this beer is one of Adam’s favorites and we are anticipating this being a favorite of our as well. Brewed by Adam Bulson, this is what Full Sail’s Sandra Evans had to say about this beer.

Porters are Adam’s favorite beer after a day on the snow, and he thought releasing his own version preseason would be a good omen for a great winter. Adam’s Malty Bomb is a robust porter with a big body and lots of dark, caramel/toffee flavor, yet it won’t weigh you down like heavy snow. It’s hopped with just enough hops to balance out the malts, and finishes smooth with no sharp edges. Bomb’s away! (ABV 5.3% IBU 41)

With two scheduled “Meet the Brewer and the Beer” events, you will have multiple opportunities to meet Adam and ask a few questions, while enjoying a Malty Bomb. The first event will be planned September 7th (from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM), at Full Sail “at Riverplace” in Portland. The second will be held at the brewery, in their Tasting Room and Pub, in Hood River from 5:00 to 6:30 PM on September 9th. Also, while there you are encouraged to support Adam’s charity.

Adam chose Hood River Adopt-a-Dog – Hukari Animal Shelter, so every keg of Adam’s Malty Bomb benefits local animals in need. –source, Full Sail Brewing
