Portland, OR – Seem information travels fast once someone posts thoughts regarding a departure. At first we read this and didn’t know what to say, could Karl Ockert be leaving Brideport Brewing for a Technical Director position with the Master Brewers Association of the Americas?
As many of you have already come to learn, The Master Brewers Association recently announced the hire of BridgePort’s Brewmaster, Karl Ockert as their Technical Director. We are saddened to see Karl leave but also extremely excited for him to take on such a prestigious position in an organization that values brewing on a national level. Karl will work remotely for the MBA in Portland where he can continue to relish in the rich beer culture of the city.
Previous Assistant Brewmaster, Jeff Edgerton, has been appointed to the position of Interim Brewmaster.
