Kent, WA – Seems like the news is coming in from all sources this week (June 12th). Word has arrived from Airways Brewing that they recently received approval from the state to serve beer outside in the form of a beer garden. Before those with children get excited the prospects of having a pint with your son or daughter, we are disheartened to inform you that this new permit will effectively block access to the taproom or the patio to anyone under 21.
“Good News: We have final approval for the beer garden! Furniture is ready to be placed outdoors. Now we just need it to be sunny.
Other News: What we didn't know until yesterday is that the beer garden has made us a 21 and over place. On nice weather days, you are welcome to bring your kids and have them sit outside the marked area, bu...t we're no longer able to accommodate kids where beer is being served.” –source, Airways Brewing’s Facebook page
This is what Alex had to say regarding the new patio addition to the brewery.
"We're excited to be opening our outdoor beer garden. It gives us space for ten more seated guests, and allows us to take advantage of the beautiful summer weather - whenever it decides to arrive. We're hoping Hops the Brewery Bunny will wander through from time to time."
Congrats on your continued expansion to accommodate more people to the brewery. Note, the beer garden is out in front of their taproom with 10 seats, good amount of shade, and of course the recently nicknamed “Hops the Brewery Bunny”.
