(OR) Laurelwood “Pizza” Raising Its Glass One Last Time, July 5th

Portland, OR – Residents of Portland, can probably recall the day they first stopped into the brewery and pub on 40th in Hollywood District.

For us, it was 2004 on a pub crawl of sort as we were coming home from a High School Reunion. Stopping in, clearly the pub was welcoming with its menu and playground equipment. It wasn’t the easiest place to get to, given the parking options of the neighborhood, but once you sat down at a table or stool (at the bar) you knew you were enjoying something unique.

This Monday July 5th, will unfortunately be the last for this pub, at least at this location. After a long dispute with the landlords, the brewery and pub will be closing their first location. It's not all doom and gloom though, as they are inviting each one of you to the location on 40th and Sandy Blvd. for one last toast.

… We have had a great run with so many great memories and great beers! We feel so fortunate that we have made so many friends and literally watch many of our employees and customers children grow up. For nearly ten years you have helped us make Laurelwood a staple in not only the Hollywood District but also all of Portland and we want to say thank you. So this Monday, July 5th from 5pm-10pm we want to invite all of you to come out and raise one last pint of beer with us in memory and in honor of all the great times we had at our original brewery!
