image courtesy of Fish Brewing Company Olympia, WA - A gentle reminder just came across our desk regarding Fish Tale Brewing's Blonde Ale. Although most of the audience reading this are probably rolling their eyes (hop heads usually), this beer is one that  you should look for not just now but in the coming months as well. Besides being recognized the USDA as an Organic brew, this beer weighs in at only 4.00% ABV. That's right folks, a session beer, for those days spent mowing the lawn, walking around Greenlake or just finishing up a bike ride.

At 4.00% you can be assured that this beer will not knock you down (unless you drink the whole six pack, which we are not condoning). Currently available in 6-packs and on draft at select locations, grab a pint of the other liquid gold. But don't take our word for it, here is what Fish had to say about their beer.

Brewed with just a schmatering of rye, Organic Blonde sports subtle spicy tones that complement the honey sweetness of its pale malt to a tee. To balance its deliciously delicate malt character, we brew this Organic seasonal ale with Glacier hops. These impart a savory aromatic finish with just the gentlest tang.

Whether served with saucy summer barbecue, or as a thirst quencher in its own right, Fish Tale Organic Blonde Ale perfects the sweet leisure of the summer days. Or nights.

As always if you can't find it on draft, at your local grocer, or bottleshop, then ask them to purchase some!

About Fish Brewing Co.

From our home in beautiful Olympia, Washington, Fish Brewing Company has been hand-crafting ales of Northwest proportions since 1993. Then, using a system cobbled from brewing and dairy equipment, we brewed for our neighbors up and down Puget Sound. Growing steadily since, Fish is now an award-winning craft brewer with distribution throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Today, three distinct brands make their home under Fish Brewing’s roof. In the beginning there were Fish Tale Ales, English-style beers born in our brewpub on Jefferson Street. It wasn’t long before the 15-barrel brew house there outgrew its cradle. In 1996 we moved our brewery across Jefferson Street and into the historic Skoog Building. Fish Brewing began bottling in the same facility in 1997.

At the turn of the century, we turned our brewing in a greener direction with the release of our first Certified Organic beer, award-winning Fish Tale Organic Amber Ale. Since then, we’ve added Fish Tale Organic Pale Ale and Fish Tale Organic IPA to our Organic line. In 2009, we’re reintroducing Fish Tale’s summer seasonal as Fish Tale Organic Blonde Ale. Organic Winterfish Seasonal Ale won’t be far behind. With an eye ever toward the integrity of our recipes, it’s our commitment to continue this transition as the proper ingredients become available in Organic form. The day will come when all beers bearing the Fish Tale name will be Certified Organic.
