Redmond, WA - We received this notice in our inbox late last night and it seemed ironic given what we heard down in Fremont. Brouwer's Cafe which is turning two recently announced that as part of their celebration have asked ten (10) local breweries to create a special IPA. Among those asked was Black Raven who has obliged them with Brouwer's 5th Anniversary IPA.
Here is what owner and head brewer Beaux Bowman had to say regarding this beer.
This IPA features a barley and rye base malt with nugget, mt hood, citra, and sorachi ace hops. Finished in the secondary with lemon thyme and lemongrass. 7.1% ABV. A few kegs will go out to outside accounts besides Brouwer's. -source, Beaux Bowman of Black Raven Brewing
Look for Black Raven's rendition of an Anniversary IPA on tap today at the Cafe. If you can't make it to the "west side" then drive to Black Raven's taproom and pick up a pint there or growler. Word of caution, this beer is one-of-a-kind and therefore certain limitations apply, with the only one on retail kegs.
