Renton, WA – It has been brought to our attention that tomorrow (March 31st) a special event will occur, Oreoville’s Alpine Brewing will be premiering their Hefeweizen. Starting at 6:00 PM, you are invited to stop into the Dog & Pony Alehouse and enjoy Alpines rendition of their Hefeweizen. As an added bonus, not only is the first location that Owner and Brewmaster Bart Traubeck has chosen, but they are making a whole night of it.
Special prizes will be given away from Washington’s only German brewer. As always conversations will be freely given and you are welcome to try the other Alpine beers that are going to be featured at the event.
Special thanks goes out to Jeannie McWilliams (writer for Northwest Brewing News) for letting us know about the one-of-a-kind event.
Alpine Brewing Company is located in the beautiful Okanogan Valley in North Central Washington and brews the finest hand-crafted beers in the German brewing tradition.
The brewery was established in the year 2000 by Bart Traubeck, its President and Brewmaster. Born and raised in Munich, Bart received his Master of Science degree in Brewing Technology at the world’s foremost brewing school, the Technical University of Munich, Weihenstephan. After graduation Bart worked in the brewing industry for 20 years building breweries for an extensive list of clients, including Red Hook and Wolfgang Puck.
Jay and Kristen Fisher are the owners of the Dog & Pony Alehouse & Grill. Jay is a former brewmaster recently in Kauai, Hawaii and Cedar River Brewing Company in Renton, Washington.
Jay has been professionally brewing since 1988 starting with the Weeping Radish in North Carolina, then moved to Wilmington, DE to brew at the Brandywine Brewing Company. He is in brewing semi-retirement choosing to pick beers to sell, rather than brewing them. Kristen is the brains of the organization keeping the wolves at bay as they build the business from nothing, to one of the best small alehouses in the Northwest. Kristen’s background in marketing and accounting and recently receiving her MBA make them a pretty strong combination for success. Jay and Kristen are the proud parents of two amazing little girls. Both adopted in China. Sophie is six and Sydney (Chu-Chu) is Three. They are prime examples of, “Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone, but still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute, you didn’t grow under my heart, but in it.” [more] –source, Dog and Pony Alehouse’s website
