(WA) Collins Pub presents Real Strong Ale Festival 3/3 - 3/7

image of Collins Pub's bartop courtesy of Russ+'s Flickr page Seattle, WA - If you have lived in the area for a good five (5) plus years, you have definitely heard of The Collins Pub. Featured a few blocks from Safeco Field and Seahawk's Stadium (commonly known as Qwest Field), Collins Pub is one of the more recognizable 'gastropubs' in the city. If you have ever visited the restaurant you have seen the exposed brick walls, the high ceiling, complimenting the excellent food menu and equally impressive craft beers.

This March as it has been in the previous years, owner Seth Howard will be hosting a line- up of beers, to re-educate people on what strong beer really is. The Real strong Ale Festival ( as it is called), features not only Strong Ales such as Imperial Stouts, Strong Ales, and Imperial India Pale Ales, but also Barleywines, and even Sour Ales. For those curious what to look forward to we have attached a copy of the list.

Note, although both of the interested parties (Seth Howard & Naked City Co-Owner Don Webb) were present and discussed it, potentially you will see Naked City’s Big Lebrewski featured as well.

About Collins Pub

After twenty years in the food business, Seth Howard fulfilled a dream and opened the Collins Pub on the edge of Pioneer Square.

Collins Pub is located on 2nd Avenue on the same block as the Smith Tower (between James and Yesler). Seth has cultivated his passionate dream for over a decade: to open a terrific pub with the best PNW crafted beers and local wines. He also dreamed of a pub with superb food, a place for business lunches, after work cocktails and dinner, a place to tune up before Seahawk or Mariner games, gallery walk or boutique cruising. Seth wants it to be a fun place to kick back and enjoy (music, 2 big TV's), a place he and his peers can bring their kids (until 9pm), and comfortable neighborhood joint for all to relax and unwind.
