Portland, OR - It's no secret that Portland has at least one Pack' loyal pub in the Saraveza and much as they did last year they will be hosting a meat raffle (hopefully while the Packers are resting), during the Super Bowl halftime.
"Meat Raffle In Northern Wisconsin, it’s an old tradition for churches and bars to help raise money for those in need by means of a meat raffle. Hunters and farmers donate meat to the charity and sometimes even a rifle. Saraveza is hosting its 2nd Annual Meat Raffle (sans rifle) on February 7th during half time of the Superbowl. All proceeds are going to Ethos Music Center for kids.
Participants can win meat, gift certificates and schwag from Laurelhurst Market, Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats, Nicky USA and Saraveza. Don’t eat the meat? Veggie raffle tickets are for the carnivores or for anyone who’d like to win a nice grill set, grilling aprons or lots of craft beer glassware, hats and other beer schwag." –source, Saraveza’s website
Raffle tickets can be purchased between now and February 7th, with a cost of one for a dollar, six for five bucks, and fifteen for ten dollars.
Cold beer, hot pasties & lots of homemade pickles. Saraveza is a place to celebrate beer, hang out, eat well and enjoy friends and strangers alike. We’re a North Portland watering hole and craft beer convenience store with over 200 bottles and 10 rotating taps. We adore good food and make our pasties and tavern treats w/ fresh, local ingredients and love. We root for the Packers (view ‘09/‘10 schedule), Blazers and Brewers. –source, Saraveza’s website
