Elliott Bay is welcoming the out’of-towners

image courtesy of Elliott Bay Brewing Seattle (and Burien), WA – For a short time only, the term Guest Beer won’t apply just to a Washington brewery. To the locals Elliott Bay has been a friend to fellow Washington breweries with their guest tap. Previous WA breweries included Black Raven and Anacortes, just to name a couple. This time around they will be featuring beers from Oregon, California, Colorado and a few other distant locations.

Look for a different beer from now till the end of December. Also coming soon their own Noale will be released the week of Thanksgiving.

Happy Holidays

Heater Allen Sandy Paws 2009 ... coming soon

image courtesy of Heater Allen's website McMinnville, OR - Chief Brewer and Owner Rick Allen is stirring up the holiday pot to release of his holiday favorites, Sandy Paws. As with previous years expect this beer to have a little something different in it.

”With all my seasonals (except IsarWeizen), I change the recipe each year, trying to get closer to what I'm really looking for, and sometimes just for a change. I'm calling this year's Sandy Paws a Dark Lager ~ too roasty to be a Bock and too malty to be a Baltic Porter. The beer is delicious ~ big, rich, malty, with some roasted notes ~ perfect for the season, and there's a dog on the label! We'll be releasing 2009 Sandy Paws at the brewery over Thanksgiving weekend, and it should be available at stores in Portland the following week. Belmont Station, Horse Brass Pub, and Bailey's Taproom, along with the usual Yamhill County suspects will be getting kegs of Sandy Paws in early December, so look for it on tap as well.” –source, Heater Allen’s Newsletter
