(WA) Diamond Knot’s Brian Sollenberger leaves us all

As a writer and a craft beer fanatic I find myself inexplicably shaking hands with brewers for doing nothing more than brewing great beer. These men and women of the keg often go unnoticed either out of ignorance by the viewer or simply because they choose to be hidden. Brian Sollenberger was not one of those men when you met up with him.

Founder and brewer of Diamond Knot Brewing’s craft beer, Brian was always there if ever you stopped in or saw him at a festival. I have met Brian a few times.  Although I was not a frequent visitor to the Mukilteo or Camano Island locations I always felt that Brian emoted what it was to be a Diamond Knot employee.

Sadly, while standing in a darkened room it was revealed to me by a colleague that Brian passed away on Friday evening. This information has already been reported by other like minded Washington supporters. For your benefit I will put them at the bottom of this column. Please read each one to better understand a sample of what Brian met us. Brian Sollenberger you are gone from our sight but you will not be forgotten.

Cheers
