Now at your local pub another form of Green Beer
Fremont is many things to both visitors and residents alike from this neighborhood located in the “center of the universe”. Icons like Stalin, the Troll, are often interplayed on beer labels, in postcards and described in news articles. Recently another unique piece of fascination moved into the neighborhood in the form of a brewery. Fremont Brewing from the get go started with one mission statement, to provide organic and savory beer all while proving that even a brewery can be good to the planet.
The brewery already has made quite the name for itself in print, television and internet news articles all before their first keg of beer has been poured from. Although the men and women of Fremont Brewing have since released their beer to the public it has been in the less than stereotypical settings. The most recent release of their beer to the masses was at the Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Summer Beerfest.
However as of last week (the 15th of July) the brewery has already released kegs of their first beer Universal Pale Ale to various pubs.
“Universale Pale went on tap TONIGHT at Park Pub on Phinney Ridge! That's us, third from left.
Matt also delivered to The Dray on 65th in Ballard (on tap tomorrow, Thursday) and Duck Island Alehouse on Aurora at 73rd (on tap the week after next).
Assuming Matt can take a break from brewing tomorrow for deliveries, Universale will also be served at Naked City Brewery and Taphouse (Greenwood at 85th) tomorrow night.” source, Fremont Brewery Blog
Chuckanut invites you to Dinner
The waves and sounds of Bellingham often call those that yearn for escaping traffic jams, bright lights, and fast food and answer with the unexpected. Located on Holly Street near the very familiar Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro, William Kemper & his head brewer Josh Pfriem have altered people’s perceptions regarding lagers "wait and see" stigma through their many appetizing pints.
As has been their tradition since they first opened a little over a year the kitchen and brewery collaborate together to educate those unfamiliar with the concept of beer and food in a culinary setting. For those whom have experienced this feat there is always an addictive yearning for more that exists after the last bite. If you are one who has memories of the previous dinner or are curious about the playful dance between ales, lagers, and artisan food you only have to reserve a ticket for August 3rd's dinner.
