(Hood River, OR) If you drive along Highway 84 heading from Portland, Oregon you will drive by a small town situated next to one of the world’s largest wind tunnels, the Columbia River. Hood River has always offered something recreational for those who seek it as a final destination or as a conduit before the hike up to Mount Hood. For those less inclined on the more “active” recreations you can always visit one of the two breweries in the town, Full Sail.
Since 1987 Full Sail has been employee owned and operated and has won numerous awards for their efforts. Also on numerous occasions you will find them supporting the many outdoor recreations either on their bottles, their ads, or in their sponsorships. This coming Sunday under what will hopefully be sunny skies and warm weather the brewery will place as host to the finish line in a criterium.
”Check out the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic this upcoming weekend. Come have a cold one in the beer garden Sunday from 10:00 to 4:00 and watch the criterium as the riders race around the brewery to the finish line that is right at our Pub door!” Full Sail newsletter
Not doing anything and feel like driving an hour away from Portland? Then swing in for a pint and watch the men & women pedal their way to the doorsteps of the brewery.
