To many of you Russian River Consecration is another out of state beer that has comes onto the scene mixing things up and like your overly successful former classmate in an overpriced jacket and slacks, makes everyone uncomfortable. To other’s the arrival of Consecration onto the scene is welcome in light of the small amount of ‘sour’ beers making appearances.
Locally, Elliot Bay (Bret), Elysian (Idefix, Wout, Son of Wout, Trip I, Are We There Yet?), Water Street (sour brown), and some other’s (Cascade Vlad the Impaler) have offered up their variations on the ‘sour’ but in the end there are only a few that have received the recognition of true wild ale.
Swing into Naked City Taphouse (and soon Brewery) and sample twelve ounces of one of the busiest, most interesting ales, to come from out of state in a little while.
