Staring out at the patio of my condo, I am reminded as the leaves fall down on the patio floor, of fall. Fall which brings browns, yellows, oranges, reds, and occasional greens; also brings September, October, and November. Fall also brings Oktoberfest, a time of german beers, festivals, and huddling around a band filled with tubas, and polka music.
Oktoberfest's roots "...is a two-week festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September and early October. It is one of the most famous events in the city and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year. Other cities across the world also hold fairs, modeled after the Munich event, also called Oktoberfest." - source Wikipedia
What it means to me is possibly going to downtown Fremont and consuming the various german or german style beers and maybe sucking down a frankfurter. What it also means to me is Oktoberfest beers, heading down to the bar that I know that has german beer, or just waiting for Winter and winter beers.
