Beers Made by Walking

Now in its seventh year, Beers Made By Walking (BMBW) returns to Seattle! BMBW invites brewers to get out on the tail for hikes led by volunteer naturalists and brew beer inspired by plants found on the trail. Join local breweries and Washington Wild for a day on the trail, enjoying the outdoors and hanging out with some of the breweries that are behind protecting clean and healthy watersheds in Washington State. Each hike is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required. Hikers are accompanied by local brewers who must create a hike-inspired beer in the fall for a special BMBW tapping event where you can try all the brews at once.

These place-based beers serve as drinkable, landscape portraits of the trails that are walked. See below for a list of hikes and participating breweries. We can't wait to get outdoors with our volunteers, Brewshed Partners, and you!
