Orval Day Celebration at Belmont Station

  • Belmont Station 4500 Southeast Stark Street Portland, OR, 97215 United States (map)
Orval Day celebrates one of the world's best and most influential beers -- the first brett beer to ever enter the US! Orval expert Tom Bowers will be joining us 5:30-6 PM to share the famous Orval legend of the fish and the ring (if you don't know it, you have to hear it and if you do, it's worth hearing again, especially from Mr. Bowers). But we will be celebrating all day long.

We will be serving bottles of Orval in the taproom (in the appropriate goblet, of course), and in the bottle shop, if you purchase four bottles of Orval, you will get to take home one of the gorgeous, iconic Orval goblets (while supplies last, of course).

Although the Trappist monks that brew Orval engage in philanthropic endeavors all the time (it's what monks do!), Orval Day is a special fundraiser: Orval importer Merchant du Vin will be making a donation to MAP International for every Orval sold, and Belmont Station will also be donating a portion of the proceeds from Orval Day to MAP International!, a global health and relief organization that partners with people living in conditions of poverty to save lives and develop healthier families and communities
